Jana Lane is back and as readers know there's another movie to make as well as another murder case to solve or else it might be too late...

Joe Cosentino knows how to deliver the best fiction to his readers worldwide. I am no longer surprised at how well-written his novel are...nor how well-developed his characters are. Every book comes out with it's own perfection that will give readers a taste for more. Satin Doll is indeed a must read for everywhere. I love the marriage life between Jana and her husband as well as how every page creates a sense within me to rush through the book to find out what happens next. A fast-paced murder mystery that readers will easily fall in love with...and one they can't live without. Overall, I highly recommend this new title in the Jana Lane Mysteries and look forward to the next best adventure from Joe Cosentino.

Joe Cosentino gives us another thrilling adventure with ex-child star Jana Lane, who has made a come-back, both in her career and her life. She is in Washington, DC, with her husband and family to shadow a Senator and prepare for her next film. This book is full of action, intrigue, and surprises, as Jana tries to solve the murders and corruption scandals in our nation's capital and protect her family from harm, while having pangs of passion for the handsome police detective on the case. The story is intriguing, her character continues to develop, and there are numerous plot and character twists that I never saw coming. I didn't guess who-dun-it until right before it was revealed, yet the clues were all carefully laid out (but skillfully camouflaged). I also love how he works in topical references to the 1980's period in which the book takes place, including the current social issues and the developing AIDS crisis. The clever humor, titillating romance, and skillful writing make this book hard to put down. I am looking forward to the next Jana Lane mystery.

The plot is no different from other political thrillers where there is murder, scandal, and intrigue.
