It’s that time of year again – the Super Bowl is just around the corner, and we’re all getting ready to host the ultimate game day party!

Pinning down the top 10 Super Bowl recipes is no easy task, but it’s a challenge I gladly accept!

Whether you are an NFL fan or not, there’s no denying that Super Bowl Sunday is one of the ultimate food holidays.

It’s an extremely rare occasion where sports viewing and food merge for one day on a national level. And to me, executing the perfect Super Bowl recipes is an art form.

Planning for a simple or extravagant Super Bowl spread takes creativity and a passion for throwing an all-out gameday bash. It requires versatility while staying true to the classic indulgent sporting snacks we all know and love.

Without further ado, I’m here to share the best Super Bowl recipes that I’ve encountered throughout the years, and you can easily try them at home!

Table of Contents

Crispy Buffalo Wings

Starting with a Super Bowl essential, this recipe creates the beautifully crispy texture of baked buffalo wings without the need for hot fryer oil.

These oven-baked buffalo chicken wings are an absolutely indulgent play and the real MVP for feeding a crowd. So, if you’ve just invited a pack of hungry fans over for the game, this is your go-to recipe.

All you need is chicken wings, baking powder, fine sea salt, garlic powder, unsalted butter, Frank’s Original Red Hot Sauce; which creates the tangy, sweet and spicy base for your wing sauce, and some sugar to help the sauce caramelize and thicken on your piping hot wings.

You just need to arrange them in a single layer over the rack and pop them into the oven for 50 minutes, flipping halfway.

Meanwhile, combine melted butter, sugar, and hot sauce for that tangy, buttery buffalo sauce that’s an absolute dream.

For a little extra touch, serve your buffalo wings like they do at Chilis restaurant alongside some chunky blue cheese dip and celery sticks. Or perhaps add a bowl of crispy Air Fryer French Fries for an irresistible Super Bowl feast.

So, game night or not, this recipe will become your new favorite buffalo wings recipe.

Bacon Jalapeño Poppers

These bacon japaño poppers are the perfect Super Bowl appetizers and are incredibly easy to make.

They’re ready in less than one hour and with only three ingredients – not to mention how customizable this recipe is!

First things first, tackle the jalapenos. Cut them in half and scoop out those seeds and ribs. You might want to wear gloves here – unless you’re into the feeling of fiery jalapeno juice on your fingers. Fill the pepper halves with about 1.5 teaspoons of your chosen cream cheese.

Next, grab that bacon and wrap each pepper. Pop these bad boys in the oven at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until the bacon is cooked and crispy.

Serve them up on game day! Jalapeño peppers mixed with cream cheese and wrapped in a blanket of smoky bacon? Sign me up!

Quick note: if you want to make them ahead, just follow all the steps and cover with plastic wrap and hold in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Little Smokies

A crockpot is the secret soldier of some of the best Super Bowl foods. This recipe can be made with a few simple ingredients readily available in your pantry and is a great last-minute dish.

It’s good for about 14 servings and the homemade BBQ sauce covering the co*cktails wieners is simply to die for!

The star of the show is the BBQ sauce, and this is where I’d suggest you spend a bit of time. Create your BBQ sauce from scratch – it’s a game-changer! It takes about 20 minutes but trust me, it will make all the difference.

Tip: Add a splash of whiskey – it subtly and deliciously enhances the flavor profile.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Looking for something sweet, soft, and light? These whipped shortbread cookies are the ideal choice for your football bash!

The combination of powdered sugar and cornstarch makes for a delectably fluffy cookie texture.

This recipe only uses four ingredients and is a total crowd-pleaser at every Super Bowl party I take them to.

They are dangerously easy to prepare and your kitchen won’t end up looking like a war zone.

First make your dough. Let it rest for about 1.5 hours in the fridge

Roll that dough into 1-inch balls, press them down with a fork, sprinkle your favorite colored sprinkles (why not match your football team’s colors?), and bake for 18 minutes at 300 ℉.

Serve them along with some Stovetop Candied Pecans and Dark Chocolate and Espresso Sea Salt Cookies .

Antipasto Skewers

These antipasto skewers are some of the most effortless appetizers I’ve ever made. They never fail to impress guests as an all-star party food!

Each bite is packed with a magnificent blend of Italian flavors. All you have to do is thread the tomatoes, cheese, meat, and a few extras onto a skewer.

You need just 5 minutes. No messy kitchen, no complicated cooking; just skewer your ingredients and serve!

Fair warning: these skewers have an uncanny knack of being the first to disappear off the plates, so maybe, just maybe, make more than you think you need!

Fried Potatoes and Onions

This recipe is inspired by Lambert’s Café and is the epitome of Southern-style food. We call them “sloppy joe’s potatoes” in my house.

These fried potatoes and onions are perfect to munch on while watching the big game with your buds!

The thinly sliced potatoes fried with onions achieve the ideal crispness. They also make for such a good side dish with pork chops and hamburgers!

All you need are russet potatoes (hey hold up the best), yellow onions, butter, salt, fresh cracked pepper, and either vegetable or olive oil.

Thinly slice your potatoes and onions, then gently sauté them in butter and oil in a large skillet for about 2-3 minutes.

Sprinkle a good amount of salt and fresh cracked black pepper for that punchy zest. Keep flipping those spuds in the pan from time to time until they get that ideal crispy edge – perfectly brown and tender.

Halloumi Fries

Breaded halloumi fries are an excellent crunchy and salty snack to have with a few brewskis. Halloumi is a Middle Eastern cheese that is semi-hard and made from sheep’s milk.

Unlike other cheeses, it holds up fantastically under heat, which makes it perfect for grilling or even frying. I like to think of it as the linebacker of cheeses—solid, dependable, and never disappointing.

For these fries, all you need is Halloumi and some good ol’ all-purpose flour. Or, if you want it keto-friendly, you can use almond flour. Simply cut your cheese into the size of fries, coat them in flour, and get ready to fry!

If you’re looking to spice things up with something completely new and unique for your Super Bowl watch party, these are a must-try!

Baked Spinach Dip

This baked spinach dip is an undisputed favorite with my friends. The mixture of cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and Monterey jack cheese makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

To create this yummy dish, start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Whip together thawed spinach, softened cream cheese, chopped artichoke hearts, sour cream, and mayo. Throw in some spices, cheddar cheese and some of Cabot’s award-winning Monterey Jack cheese. It gets beautifully gooey when it melts.

Aside from its delectable creaminess, serving this dip in a cast iron skillet is an awesome touch that will make your guests go wild for more!

And my absolute favorite part? How simple this recipe is. Just mix and bake!

The less time you spend in the kitchen, the more you get to enjoy the game. And isn’t that what the Super Bowl is all about?

Now you don’t have to take my word for it, get those aprons on and start whipping up this dish.

Let me know in the comments how much you loved it.

Instant Pot French Dip Sandwiches

When it comes to game day snacking, this instant pot French dip sandwich recipe is a touchdown through and through!

From the thin slices of onions at the bottom of your pot to the simple horseradish sauce (just mayonnaise and prepared horseradish), every bit of this sandwich screams comfort food. Top it off with some homemade au jus sauce for dipping and trust me, your family and friends will be begging for seconds.

If you don’t have an instant pot, you can use a slow cooker and still get the same results.

The roast beef always comes out so fork-tender and goes so well with horseradish mayo.

Cheese Balls

What do you get when you mix three kinds of cheese with ranch seasoning and roll it in chopped pecans? The most fun and tasty Super Bowl appetizer ever!

This cheesyy recipe starts off with not one, not two, but three cheeses! Cream cheese is the base, with a good ol’ dose of sharp cheddar and some blue cheese. Add some ranch seasoning, and bam you’ve got a cheesy mash-up.

Now roll that delicious orb in a heap of crushed pecans, and you’re all set!

Not a fan of blue cheese? Leave it out.

Want some bacon? Go ahead, throw it in!

How about some green onions for a tangy twist? Why not!

No Super Bowl Sunday spread is complete without a cheese spread, and this recipe takes it to a yummy and creative extreme.
